Opened in 2000 by former owners Steve & Susy Long, The Clay Cottage enters its 10th year in the very capable hands of Nicola Perrott.

To celebrate our ongoing success, we are very pleased to announce the acquisition of The Craft Cottage, located in Rochford.

The Clay & Craft Cottages are contemporary art & craft studios offering the community access to a variety of exciting arts. Even in our high tech 21st century all children love to paint and create. At our studios children of all ages (especially big kids in their 30's, 40's and beyond!!) are encouraged to think outside the norm and express themselves through art.

All are welcome regardless of age or ability, the studios are wheelchair/pushchair friendly with bottle warming and nappy changing facilities and the kettle is always on!

Our main activity is Ceramic painting.  Painting is not only fun and relaxing, but also very rewarding. 

We have over 2000 items to choose from, the majority of which are made in our workshop, while others are imported from Italy!
